About Password Generator

Weak passwords are the number one cause of account hacking and data breaches. Using the same password across multiple sites, using dictionary words, or using personal information like birthdays makes accounts extremely vulnerable. A truly strong password is long, random, and unique for every account.

IHAVEALL Password Generator uses the Web Crypto API — the same cryptographically secure random number generator used by banks and security software. This means every password is genuinely random, not predictable. The passwords are generated entirely in your browser and never sent to any server.

What Makes a Password Strong?

A strong password is at least 16 characters long and contains a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. It does not contain dictionary words, names, dates, or personal information. A 16-character random password has over 95 quadrillion possible combinations making it practically impossible to crack by brute force.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How long should a password be in 2024?+
Security experts recommend at least 16 characters for important accounts like banking and email. For less critical accounts 12 characters is acceptable. Longer is always better.
Are the generated passwords truly random?+
Yes. We use the Web Crypto API which provides cryptographically secure random numbers. This is the same technology used by security software and is genuinely unpredictable.
Should I use a password manager?+
Yes. Since strong passwords are hard to remember, using a password manager like Bitwarden (free) or 1Password allows you to use unique strong passwords for every account without memorising them.
What special characters should I include?+
Including symbols like !@#$%^&*() dramatically increases password strength. A 12-character password with all character types has 100 times more combinations than one with only letters and numbers.
How often should I change my passwords?+
Change passwords immediately if there is a suspected breach. Otherwise change passwords for critical accounts like banking every 6-12 months. Use haveibeenpwned.com to check if your email was in a data breach.
